Roelof Fourie Safaris are hunting outfitters based in Bloemfontein, South Africa, from where we conduct hunting safaris to predominantly areas in South Africa.The safaris on offer can be classified as regular safaris where a daily rate applies to both hunters and observers, and a trophy fee is charged for each animal taken. 

Personalised service, attention to detail and catering to individual tastes and preferences are all key to Roelof Fourie Safaris. 

Our professional hunters are experienced in pursuing the the plains game of Southern Africa and all of us, from the office staff to the camp staff and professional hunters are committed to making your African safari the experience of a lifetime. In South Africa and we can offer hunting safaris with either rifle or bow.

Skinners and trackers are highly skilled and carefully trained to be certain that your valuable trophies receive the care and attention they deserve.

The Professional Hunter

The most important determining factor in the success of your safari is the professional hunter, whose skill and experience should protect you in potentially dangerous situations and enable you to take the trophies you are hunting for. His companionship and dedication is a big contributing factor to the overall enjoyment of the experience.
The PH's you will encounter when on safari with Roelof Fourie Safaris are all experienced in the pursuit of Southern Africa's plains game animals. Each animal is unique in its habits and behaviour, experience and respect are the most important factors when pursuing the various species.

Responsibilities

A professional hunter must accompany overseas visitors who wish to hunt in South African. The professional hunter is the person that guides the client in the hunting area in order to hunt an animal to obtain a trophy. He sees to the welfare of the client while in the hunting camp. He is in charge of the hunting camp and its personnel. He makes certain the client is in possession of all relevant documents, licenses and permits before the hunt can start. He sees to it that the client's trophies are skinned and prepared according to the correct methods. He is responsible for his client's safety while in the camp and in the hunting area. The professional hunter sees to it that his client does not hunt contrary to the provisions of the law.

Roelof Fourie has been involved in hunting for more than 38 years and has hunted the majority of South African plains game. He is also an accountant in private practice. A hunter at heart his memberships also include those to Safari Club International, Rowland Ward Guild of Field Sportsmen and Free State Hunters and Game Conservation Association. He believes in hunting free roaming wild animals as far as possible and will ensure that his clients experience an authentic African Hunting Safari in the true sense of the word.
